Activities: This museum includes many exhibits that appeal to children including an antique toy collection, including dolls and trains, Indian artifacts such as arrows and spear points and a metal bell from a Brazos River steamboat.

Activities: Organized by the Brazos Valley Railroad Society, a non-profit organization that is a chapter of the National Railroad Society, the museum also includes such items as rail crossing guards, posters, maps, and photos.
Varner Hogg State Historical Park

Activities: This ante-bellum plantation home in West Columbia is the county's only remaining plantation home that is regularly open to tours. Three different families were owners of the Greek Revival mansion before it became a state historical park. Ima Hogg donated the property to the state in 1958, and since then visitors have toured the house to see what the Old South was like.
